As part of Kobe City’s “Decarbonization Leading Area” initiative, solar power generation equipment will be installed at our base, and we will receive a subsidy from the city to start full-scale operation in FY2025 (article in Japanese).

1. Background and Aim
Kobe City has set a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by FY2030 compared to FY2013 and has been selected as a “Decarbonization Leading Region.” Kobe City Official (“Note”)
As a company with strengths in manufacturing and technology sales, we have decided to introduce solar power this time in order to fulfill our social responsibility and to practice our values as a company rooted in our hometown of Kobe.
In introducing the company, we will realize efficient capital investment by utilizing subsidies, and in the long term, we aim to simultaneously transform our own energy structure and contribute to a decarbonized society.
2. Outline of introduction
- Target facility: Our Kobe head office factory (4-2-12 Minatojima, Minami-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe City)
- Installed equipment: Solar power panel (output: 39.0kW) + battery storage system (as needed)
- Scheduled to start operation: February 2026
- Subsidy source: Kobe City “Decarbonization Leading Area Support System”, etc.
- Objectives: (1) Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (2) Independence of electricity and reduction of transmission losses (3) Strengthening resilience in the event of a disaster
3. Expected Effects
- Expected to achieve net zero emissions of SBT certification
- Reducing electricity costs and dependence on imported electricity by increasing the self-consumption ratio
- Establishment of a demonstration model for decarbonization in collaboration with areas that Kobe City focuses on, such as ports and medical industry urban areas.
- Strengthening our sustainability strategy and exemplary messages to our clients and global partners
